 DIAPERS, PULL-UPS AND UNDIES

DISTRIBUTED May, 2012

In May, 20123, eight local agencies received the Communities Together donation of diapers, pull-up and small children underwear. This marked the 14th year of this important outreach to those in need in the Merrimack Valley. Despite the economy, members of local congregations contributed more than 18,000 items, the majority of which were diapers and pull-ups. Below are the pictures from two years ago showing what that many items look like! A special thanks to Bobbi Weller that organizes the drive each year and her husband Carl that helps with the labor. The Wellers are members of the Christian Fellowship of the Merrimack Valley, located at 93 East Haverhill Street in Lawrence. Also a special thanks to the Synchronized Swim Team of the Andover-North Andover YMCA that took on diaper collection as a service project. Well done girls!
